As noted in an earlier post, the Humboldt County Association of Governments (HCAOG) is currently in the process of updating the Regional Housing Needs Allocation, which sets goals for housing production for every jurisdiction in the County.  Today, they released their draft methodology for determining the goal for each community.  The draft distributions used a 50/50 jobs/housing balance as presented at the October HCAOG Board meeting.  This data used to determine the total share to each jurisdiction was developed by the Department of Finance (population projections) and by the Labor Market Information Division of the California Employment Development Department (quarterly workforce indicators).  Using this formula, they created the following draft allocation:
